How a simple observation about young people and money became Glasgow's most respected youth financial education programme.
Why do we expect young people to manage student loans, credit cards, and their first salaries when no one has ever taught them the basics of how money actually works?
That question led to radial-make. We watched too many talented young Scots stumble into financial difficulties not because they lacked intelligence or work ethic, but simply because no one had ever explained the fundamental principles of earning, saving, spending, and growing wealth.
The school curriculum touches on mathematics but skips past practical financial literacy. Parents often feel unqualified to teach what they themselves had to learn through trial and error. The result is generation after generation repeating the same costly mistakes.
We exist to give young people in Glasgow the financial foundation that most adults wish they'd received. Our programmes don't just teach concepts—they build habits, shape attitudes, and create confident young people who view money as a tool rather than a mystery.
Every child who leaves our programme carries knowledge that will compound throughout their lifetime. The teenager who understands compound interest at fifteen has a forty-year head start on someone who learns it at fifty-five.
Financial education shouldn't be a privilege. We work with schools, community centres, and families across all areas of Glasgow.
Theory matters less than application. Every concept we teach connects directly to real-world financial decisions.
Our goal is confident independence. We want young people to outgrow their need for us.
Our instructors combine educational expertise with real-world financial experience. Every team member has worked with young people in classroom settings and understands how to make complex ideas accessible and engaging.
All instructors hold teaching qualifications and undergo enhanced disclosure checks. We understand safeguarding, learning differences, and age-appropriate pedagogy.
Our team includes former financial advisors, accountants, and banking professionals who bring authentic industry perspective to every lesson.
We regularly update our curriculum to reflect changes in financial products, regulations, and the economic landscape young people will enter.
"What impressed me most was how the instructors connected with my reserved teenager. He actually looked forward to the sessions, which says everything about their teaching approach."

We're proud to be a Glasgow organisation serving Glasgow families. Our examples reference Scottish banking institutions, UK tax systems, and local economic realities. When we discuss housing costs, we use Glasgow figures. When we explore career earnings, we reference Scottish salary data.
This local focus means everything we teach feels immediately relevant rather than abstractly theoretical.
